FLOWER POWER!

July 27 Thank you to my awesome parents for sending me these beautiful flowers. I had a pretty bad mental day on Sunday! Decided to get out of the house and go visit family! Kristin painted my toe nails and that definitely helped get me out of that negative head space. Then Monday comes and u got these lovely flowers that brightened my day even more!  Thank you to everyone for sticking by us!!!

A LAST MINUTE GETAWAY!

July 15 Glad to say I am starting to feel better. I have my video chat with the surgeon on Tuesday the 21st and then a CT scan at University of Chicago on August 10th, and then a video chat with the oncologist to see what the next step will be. Since they didnt get all of the lymph node I assume I will be doing more chemo. Not what we were hoping for but I will do whatever it takes to get rid of this cancer!! James and I will be taking a day trip tomorrow up to Mineral Point Wisconsin and then visiting a cave 20 mins from there. We decided to do this because I don’t know if I will be able to take anytime off for a vacation because of this surgery. Will post pictures of our adventures!!! Glad we got to visit with my sister, Ryan, and my baby Harper! She is getting so big and has such a big personality! Love all her facial expressions! My sister and Ryan helped out a lot and made some freezer meals for us! Couldn’t imagine doing this without all the amazing people we have around us!!! So

FINALLY BACK HOME!

July 4 Well surgery is done! Had a very rough first night. Ended up not being able to breath which caused me to start crying and freaking out which did not help the situation!  When we got checked in at the hospital we found out James could stay in the room with me. Which was awesome but we didn’t bring anything for him except his switch to play games on. So he stayed the first night (which is usually the worst) and we had many visitors through out the night poking and prodding at me. He picked me up yesterday at 1130 and I busted out of that place!! First night home went well but woke up at 7 really sore because I didn’t wake up through the night to take my pain meds.  Have a meal train set up through a friend of our (Louis) so that is awesome and my friend Amanda sent me goodies yesterday! Flowers , balloons, and chocolates!! Will keep everyone posted on how I doing. The lymph node doctor said he got as much as he could, but the node was wrapped around an artery. So I am sure I will
