PORT STUDY DAY!
So the port is working fine besides not giving a blood return. So I will be able to get my treatment on Wednesday. We were at the hospital for 4 hours!
RESULTS AND WHATS NEXT!
Results of the CT scan: no signs of active cancer which is awesome news however after the liver ablation surgery the Dr said there was some cancer still left around an artery. We were a little confused about what was actually left if any. The Dr told us 2 things they could possibly do... 1 is just wait 3 months and do another scan or 2 do some radiation and a chemo pill for 5 and a half weeks assuming the cancer is there. After the Drs talked it over they have decided to do a PET SCAN and that will be done August 20th at UChicago Medicine. Until next time, be safe happy and healthy!
