5-FU SIDE AFFECTS

Tuesday thru Thursday I am hooked up to my pump and my worst side affects from this treatment are my hands swollen, itching and peeling. Wednesday night through Thursday are my worst days. The pain in my hands is so intense I can't help but cry cause it hurts so much. Not much the Dr's can do besides pain management. James came home from work to be with me.♥️ I want this to be over already!!!😥😢😥😢

  Today I got to have my port moved from the left side to my right. We are hoping this helps with the chest discomfort I get every treatment. Also we weren't able to get blood return so every treatment I would have to get a blood draw and a poke in my port!  James took me and unfortunately the hospital policy changed this morning on the visitors not being allowed so he was not able to be in the room or the hospital! Was feeling ok when I got home but that changed after a few hours and now it is pretty sore. Here's to hoping I can work tomorrow!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jan. 1 Hope everyone had a fun and safe new years eve! We stayed in and had my traditional meatballs and cheese ball. Yummm! We played some board games and watched some Dick Clark rocking new years eve! Unfortunately I feel asleep at 1030 but don’t you worry the fireworks woke me up at midnight!!  I am anxious and excited to see what this CT scan will show. Hoping for great results! I will keep everyone posted when we find out the results!  HAPPY NEW YEAR! let it be the best one yet!!

CT SCAN

 Today we made our travels to Chicago, Hyde Park again for my CT scan. We didn't have any issues getting to the hospital thank goodness! Pretty uneventful. Now we just wait to talk to Dr. Polite later today and I will post the results and next action plan sometime tomorrow, fingers crossed for good news! Heavy construction traffic downtown Algonquin!
